What is CITES?
CITES stands for the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. It is an international agreement between governments to protect endangered plants and animals – ensuring their trade doesn’t threaten their survival. Biome Exotics will clearly mark the plants and animals covered by CITES that are for sale. Biome Exotics encourages all customers to check and be aware of any import/export laws/policies prior to purchasing and shipping.
So what exactly are CITES Appendices I, II and III?
